The San Francisco Seagulls offense too much for the South Bay Storm in 14-5 rout

Story by Narrative Science.

The San Francisco Seagulls (12-11) jumped out to an early lead on the South Bay Storm (13-6) and captured a 14-5 victory on Sunday at CSU East Bay.

Ten runs in the first three innings allowed the San Francisco Seagulls to put the game away early.

A two-run single by Lance Montano, an RBI single by David Langer, and a two-run double by Neil Sterling during the first inning and an RBI single by Langer and a sacrifice fly by Sterling in the second inning fueled the San Francisco Seagulls' offense early.

Sterling racked up six RBIs on two hits for the San Francisco Seagulls.

The San Francisco Seagulls relied on David Moody to eat up innings en route to the win. Moody pitched seven innings and allowed one earned run, five hits and two walks while striking out five.

Dylan Yamasaki did his best to jumpstart the offense for the South Bay Storm, reaching base three times. He singled in the first inning and doubled in the fourth inning.

Dalton Grisell was charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just one inning, walked two, struck out none, and allowed five runs.
