Early lead gives the Neptune Beach Pearl easy victory over the San Francisco Seagulls, 11-5

The Neptune Beach Pearl shut the door early on the San Francisco Seagulls (11-11), capturing an 11-5 victory on Friday at Laney College.

Eight runs in the first three innings allowed the Neptune Beach Pearl to put the game away early.

An RBI single by Lucas Halstead and a two-run double by MacLean during the first inning and a two-run double by Bate, a single by Renae Martinez, a solo home run by Halstead, a double by Bryniarski, and a single by MacLean in the second inning fueled the Neptune Beach Pearl's offense early.

Halstead racked up four RBIs on three hits for the Neptune Beach Pearl.

It was a good day at the plate for the San Francisco Seagulls' Ismael Orozco. Orozco went 2-4, drove in one and scored one run. He tripled in the fifth inning and singled in the ninth inning.

Trautner got the win, running his season record to 1-0. He allowed four runs over seven innings. Trautner struck out three, walked one and gave up six hits.

Josh Eclavea ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his third loss of the year. He allowed seven runs in 1 1/3 innings, walked one and struck out none.
