The San Francisco Seagulls (10-9) beat the West Coast Kings 8-4 on Wednesday at College Park High School behind Neil Sterling, who collected three hits.
He doubled in the first inning and singled in the fourth and seventh innings.The West Coast Kings couldn't get anything going as long as Erik Estrada was pitching. Estrada gave up just two hits, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out five during his three innings of work.
Jordan Pimm was solid at the plate for the West Coast Kings. Pimm went 3-5, drove in one and scored one run. He singled in the third and fifth innings and doubled in the ninth inning.
Alex Alexander was charged with his second loss of the year. He allowed six runs in 3 2/3 innings, walked one and struck out four.
