The Coachella Valley Snowbirds (2-9) jumped out to an early lead, but were unable to hold on and lost 5-4 to the Oregon Lumberjacks (5-5) on Thursday.

A two-run single by Corey Andrade gave the Oregon Lumberjacks the lead in the fifth inning.

Elijah Briseno led the Coachella Valley Snowbirds' offensive threat, as he got on base three times in the game. He singled in the third and seventh innings.

Blake Evetts got the win, running his season record to 1-1. He allowed four runs over five innings. He struck out three, walked three and surrendered six hits.

Yugo Nishikawa couldn't get it done on the rubber for the Coachella Valley Snowbirds, taking a loss. He lasted just one-third of an inning, walked four, struck out none, and allowed three runs.
