The Alameda Merchants had no answer for Bryan Hathaway, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. Hathaway held the Alameda Merchants hitless over one inning, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three.
Adrian Santiago (0-1) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just one inning, walked one, struck out one, and allowed one run.
