Offenses dominate as the Lethbridge Bulls outscore the Edmonton Prospects 13-10

Fans were treated to a high-scoring affair Friday as the Lethbridge Bulls (27-20) outscored the Edmonton Prospects (22-25) 13-10.

The teams totaled 29 hits in the game.

The Lethbridge Bulls scored four runs in the first inning to build an early lead. The Lethbridge Bulls scored in the first on an RBI single by Mitch McGeein, a fielder's choice, and a two-run single by Carter Witbeck.

McGeein had a busy day at the plate, collecting two extra-base hits.

Matthew Beaton brought the heat against the Edmonton Prospects during his outing. Beaton held the Edmonton Prospects hitless over 1 2/3 innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out four.

Caleb Norton got his fourth win for the Lethbridge Bulls despite allowing nine runs over 3 1/3 innings. Norton struck out six, walked one and gave up nine hits.

Derek Shedden couldn't get it done on the mound for the Edmonton Prospects, taking a loss. He lasted just zero innings, walked none, struck out none, and allowed no runs.
