The Regina Red Sox (24-17) continued to pile up the runs on Sunday, scoring three runs in the last three innings, on the way to a 10-1 landslide win over the Weyburn Beavers (21-23) at Currie Field.
A two-run single by Will Frei helped the Regina Red Sox score two runs in the seventh. The Regina Red Sox had two hits in the inning.
Jake Howard racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Regina Red Sox. He homered in the first inning and singled in the fifth inning.
Allan Sanchez picked up the win for the Regina Red Sox. Sanchez pitched eight innings and allowed one earned run, seven hits and no walks while striking out four.
Ryan Johnson (3-1) took the loss for the Weyburn Beavers. He allowed six runs in five innings, walked two and struck out five.
