Offenses dominate as the Okotoks Dawgs outscore the Edmonton Prospects 12-9

The bats were busy at Seaman Stadium on Saturday, and when the dust cleared the Okotoks Dawgs (30-13) had a 12-9 win over the Edmonton Prospects (20-23).

The two teams combined for 31 hits in the game.

Kellen Marruffo had three extra-base hits for the Okotoks Dawgs. He homered in the third inning, doubled in the fifth and seventh innings, and singled in the eighth inning.

Liam Stroud recorded his first win for the Okotoks Dawgs even though he allowed five runs over five innings. He struck out four, walked two and surrendered 12 hits.

Noah Gapp was charged with his sixth loss of the year. He allowed eight runs in five innings, walked three and struck out six.

The Okotoks Dawgs were sparked by Marruffo and Brendan Rose, who teamed up for seven hits and three RBIs.
