The Fort McMurray Giants (12-29) and the Brooks Bombers (12-27) both had scoring chances on Friday, but it was the Fort McMurray Giants that were able to capitalize on them as they pulled out a 5-3 win at Shell Place.

Conyal Cody racked up two RBIs on one hit for the Fort McMurray Giants. He tripled in the sixth inning.

Will Pettener got on base three times in the game for the Brooks Bombers. He scored one run and had one RBI. He singled in the second inning.

Adam Falcon got the win, running his season record to 2-4. He allowed three runs over 2 2/3 innings. He struck out four, walked three and surrendered three hits.

Joe Cooney couldn't get it done on the bump for the Brooks Bombers, taking a loss. He lasted just five innings, walked two, struck out one, and allowed three runs.
