The Edmonton Prospects get on top of the Okotoks Dawgs early but can't hang on in 6-2 loss

The Edmonton Prospects (18-22) built an early edge on Wednesday, but the Okotoks Dawgs (27-12) roared back to steal a 6-2 victory at Telus Field.

The Okotoks Dawgs took the lead in the sixth inning on an RBI double by Joel Brophy.

Brophy had two extra-base hits for the Okotoks Dawgs. He singled in the third inning and doubled in the sixth and eighth innings.

Derek Shedden led the Edmonton Prospects' offensive threat, as he got on base three times in the game. He singled in the third and seventh innings.

Garrett Ciuk improved to 3-1 on the year by picking up the win for the Okotoks Dawgs. He allowed two runs over six innings. He struck out four, walked two and surrendered seven hits.

Zach Siggelkow (1-2) took the loss for the Edmonton Prospects. He lasted just six innings, walked one, struck out two, and allowed three runs.
