Will Pettener went 3-3 at the plate as the Brooks Bombers (12-25) took home a 5-4 victory over the Medicine Hat Mavericks (27-12) at Elks Stadium on Tuesday.
He doubled in the second inning and singled in the sixth and eighth innings.Larry Romero got the win for the Brooks Bombers thanks to 10 strikeouts. Romero allowed three earned runs, five hits and three walks over nine innings.
Despite the loss, the Medicine Hat Mavericks' Kal Kilgo dominated the Brooks Bombers' batters, giving up three runs and striking out six.
