Both the Yorkton Cardinals (22-15) and the Swift Current Indians (28-11) put runners aboard on Monday, but it was the Yorkton Cardinals that were able to take advantage, pulling out a 4-3 win at Mitchell Field.

The Swift Current Indians had no answer for Max Biedrzycki, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. The Swift Current Indians managed just two hits off of Biedrzycki, who allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out two during his three innings of work.

Bodie Cooper got on base three times in the game for the Swift Current Indians. He singled in the fourth and sixth innings.

Justin Johnston got the win, running his season record to 5-2. He allowed three runs over six innings. Johnston struck out two, walked five and gave up nine hits.

Reece Calvert (1-1) took the loss for the Swift Current Indians. He lasted just six innings, walked three, struck out five, and allowed four runs.
