The Swift Current Indians (22-9) jumped out to an early lead, but were unable to hold on and lost 4-3 to the Weyburn Beavers (17-17) on Saturday.

While the Swift Current Indians led until the eighth inning, the Weyburn Beavers worked their way back and took the lead on an RBI triple by Ulysses Fluellen.

Wade Mason brought the heat against the Swift Current Indians during his outing. Mason held the Swift Current Indians hitless over two innings, allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out two.

Juan Pizarro was charged with his second loss of the year. He lasted just eight innings, walked two, struck out two, and allowed four runs.
