Offenses dominate as the Yorkton Cardinals outscore the Regina Red Sox 19-13

The bats were busy at Currie Field on Wednesday, and when the dust cleared the Yorkton Cardinals (14-14) had a 19-13 win over the Regina Red Sox (17-10).

The teams totaled 34 hits in the game.

The offense exploded for the the Yorkton Cardinals in the sixth. In the inning the Yorkton Cardinals scored 10 runs. The Yorkton Cardinals scored in the sixth on an RBI single by Cory Cantebury, an RBI single by Daniel McFarland, a two-run double by Luke Wilkinson, an error, , a two-run single by Hunter Hisky, a two-run single by McFarland, and a two-run single by McFarland.

Wilkinson racked up five RBIs on three hits for the Yorkton Cardinals.

Justin Johnston put together a nice outing. Johnston held the Regina Red Sox hitless over two innings, allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out three.

Trevor Wallace got the win, running his season record to 3-1. He struck out four, walked two and surrendered one hit.

Seth Sorensen (2-2) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just 4 2/3 innings, walked one, struck out none, and allowed four runs.

The Yorkton Cardinals hammered the Regina Red Sox pitching as seven hitters had a field day, combining for 18 hits, 17 RBIs and 18 runs scored.
