The Swift Current Indians get late runs to finish off the Fort McMurray Giants, 10-4

The Swift Current Indians (21-7) beat the Fort McMurray Giants (10-20) 10-4 on Tuesday thanks to a five-run eighth inning.

The Swift Current Indians scored in the eighth on a single by Austin Rieman, a double by Kyle MacDonald, a double by Brett Brittany, an error, , and a triple by Liam Goodall.

Alec Humphreys racked up four RBIs on two hits for the Swift Current Indians.

Aidan Goodall had an impressive outing against the Fort McMurray Giants' lineup. The Fort McMurray Giants managed just one hit off of Goodall, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out four during his 2 2/3 innings of work.

A bright spot for the Fort McMurray Giants in the defeat was Conyal Cody, who allowed only zero runs while striking out five.

Clint Clymer improved to 1-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Swift Current Indians. Clymer struck out two, walked none and gave up two hits.

Curtis Bafus ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his third loss of the year. He lasted just 2 1/3 innings, walked two, struck out one, and allowed five runs.
