Cory Scammell collected three hits, helping the Edmonton Prospects (12-14) to a 9-6 victory over the Melville Millionaires (5-21) on Sunday at Telus Field.

He tripled in the first inning and singled in the third and seventh innings.

Vinny Martin had two extra-base hits for the Melville Millionaires. He singled in the first innings and doubled in the fourth and fifth innings.

Kody Funderburk got the win, running his season record to 1-0. Funderburk struck out one, walked two and gave up two hits.

Owen Kelly (1-3) took the loss for the Melville Millionaires. He allowed eight runs in 2 1/3 innings, walked none and struck out two.
