Jake Howard went 2-5 and hit a home run as the Regina Red Sox (14-9) took home a 7-2 victory over the Edmonton Prospects (9-14) at Telus Field on Friday.
He singled in the second inning and homered in the seventh inning.Adam Prashad picked up the win for the Regina Red Sox. Prashad pitched eight innings and allowed two earned runs, nine hits and two walks while striking out two.
Despite the loss, the Edmonton Prospects' Noah Gapp dominated the Regina Red Sox's batters, giving up two runs and striking out six.
Cory Scammell had a hot bat for the Edmonton Prospects. Scammell went 3-4 and scored one run. He doubled in the second inning and singled in the third and eighth innings.
Gapp (3-3) was the game's losing pitcher.
