The Regina Red Sox cruise past the Fort McMurray Giants, 9-2

The Fort McMurray Giants (9-16) didn't put up much of a fight on Thursday, as the Regina Red Sox (13-9) cruised to a blowout 9-2 win at Shell Place.

A two-run single by Aden Campbell delivered the runs in the fourth. The Regina Red Sox had three hits in the inning.

Jordan Schulz racked up three RBIs on three hits for the Regina Red Sox. He singled in the second inning and tripled in the third and ninth innings.

The Regina Red Sox got the win thanks in large part to Michael Garcia's dominant, six-strikeout performance. Garcia allowed two earned runs on eight hits and no walks over seven innings.

Cory Meyer was hot from the plate for the Fort McMurray Giants. Meyer went 3-4 and drove in one. He doubled in the first inning and singled in the third and eighth innings.

Nick Kafer couldn't get it done on the bump for the Fort McMurray Giants, taking a loss. He allowed six runs in 3 2/3 innings, walked three and struck out four.
