The Regina Red Sox outlast the Edmonton Prospects in extras, 7-5

The Regina Red Sox (18-11) beat the Edmonton Prospects (15-16) 7-5 but needed 11 innings to do so on Tuesday at Telus Field.

With the score tied at five, Gabriel Montero came to the plate and doubled, bringing home Aden Campbell.

Montero did his best to jumpstart the offense for the Regina Red Sox, reaching base four times. He scored two runs and had one RBI. He singled in the fourth and ninth innings and doubled in the eleventh inning.

Skyler Henson recorded his second win of the year for the Regina Red Sox. He struck out one, walked none and surrendered two hits.

Jordan Parranto (0-2) took the loss for the Edmonton Prospects. He lasted just two innings, walked none, struck out two, and allowed two runs.
