Fans were treated to a high-scoring affair Sunday as the Moose Jaw Miller Express (6-16) outscored the Weyburn Beavers (11-11) 12-9.
The teams totaled 26 hits in the game.
The Moose Jaw Miller Express got their bats going early, scoring six runs in the first inning to pull ahead of the Weyburn Beavers. The Moose Jaw Miller Express scored in the first on an RBI double by Lance VanNoy, an RBI single by Cutter McDowell, an RBI single by Cole Distler, a two-run single by Travis Ouellet, and a wild pitch.
Ouellet racked up five RBIs on three hits for the Moose Jaw Miller Express.
Even though Bo Sheridan allowed five runs over five innings he still recorded the victory, his first of the season. He struck out four, walked three and surrendered seven hits.
Nick Dorcean (1-2) took the loss for the Weyburn Beavers. He allowed seven runs in four innings, walked four and struck out five.
