Fifth-inning rally sparks blowout win for the Okotoks Dawgs, 17-3

The Okotoks Dawgs (11-7) rolled over the Lethbridge Bulls 17-3 on Friday at Spitz Stadium after a nine-run rally in the fifth inning.

The Okotoks Dawgs scored in the fifth on an error, an RBI single by Joel Brophy, a two-run double by Tristin Parton, an RBI single by Brendan Rose, an RBI double by Josh McIntyre, an error, and a two-run double by JT Patterson.

Kellen Marruffo racked up four RBIs on three hits for the Okotoks Dawgs.

CJ Lewington improved to 3-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Okotoks Dawgs. He allowed two runs over six innings. He struck out four, walked five and surrendered four hits.

Nathan Lainhart (3-1) took the loss for the Lethbridge Bulls (13-8). He allowed eight runs in 4 2/3 innings, walked three and struck out three.

The Okotoks Dawgs hammered the Lethbridge Bulls pitching as six hitters had a field day, combining for 18 hits, 10 RBIs and 15 runs scored.
