Kody Funderburk went 2-4 and hit a home run, helping the Edmonton Prospects (7-7) to an 8-6 victory over the Weyburn Beavers (8-9) on Monday at Tom Laing Park.

Ethan Mushitz racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Weyburn Beavers. He doubled in the second inning and singled in the ninth inning.

Zach Ziggakow recorded his first win of the year for the Edmonton Prospects. He allowed two runs over four innings. Ziggakow struck out two, walked one and gave up three hits.

Austin Perez (0-2) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just one inning, walked none, struck out one, and allowed two runs.
