The Moose Jaw Miller Express (3-10) jumped out to an early lead, but were unable to hold on and lost 5-3 to the Weyburn Beavers (7-6) on Wednesday.

A groundout by Corey Harrell gave the Weyburn Beavers the lead in the sixth inning.

Connor Kalisky was hot from the plate for the Weyburn Beavers. Kalisky went 2-4, drove in one and scored two runs. He singled in the second inning and homered in the sixth inning.

Logan Lund picked up the win for the Weyburn Beavers. Lund allowed three earned runs, five hits and two walks while striking out three over seven innings of work.

Cutter McDowell reached base three times in the game for the Moose Jaw Miller Express. He singled in the second inning and doubled in the eighth inning.

Jesse Marks couldn't get it done on the bump for the Moose Jaw Miller Express, taking a loss. He lasted just seven innings, walked two, struck out one, and allowed five runs.
