Luke Wiechec kept the Yorkton Cardinals (6-8) off the board during his six innings of work and the Swift Current Indians (10-2) beat the Yorkton Cardinals, 10-1.

Wiechec struck out six and allowed two walks and two hits.

The Swift Current Indians ran up the score, scoring runs at will until the final out. The Swift Current Indians scored three runs in the final three innings to cap the blowout win. The Swift Current Indians scored four runs in the first on the Swift Current Indians scored in the first on a solo home run by Shane Dokey, an RBI single by Thomas DeBonville, and a two-run single by Bodie Cooper.

Dokey racked up three RBIs on three hits for the Swift Current Indians.

Gavin Collins (0-2) took the loss for the Yorkton Cardinals. He allowed seven runs in five innings, walked one and struck out two.
