Connor Kalisky drove in three runs, helping the Weyburn Beavers (5-4) to a 6-2 victory over the Melville Millionaires (3-6) on Friday at Tom Laing Park.

Scott Beever pitched seven innings and allowed two earned runs, four hits and three walks while striking out five.

A bright spot for the Melville Millionaires in the defeat was Blake Welch, who allowed only two runs while striking out six.

Ryan Peep did his best to jumpstart the offense for the Melville Millionaires, reaching base three times. He scored two runs and had one RBI. He homered in the fifth inning.

Jake Carson got the win, running his season record to 1-0. He struck out none, walked none and surrendered no hits.

Michael Harrison was charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just 1 1/3 innings, walked none, struck out two, and allowed four runs.
