Ulysses Fluellen went 1-4 and hit a home run as the Weyburn Beavers (8-6) took home a 9-7 victory over the Moose Jaw Miller Express (4-11) at Ross Wells Park on Thursday.

Cutter McDowell racked up five RBIs on one hit for the Moose Jaw Miller Express. He homered in the fourth inning.

Nick Schoen got the win, running his season record to 1-0. Schoen struck out one, walked two and gave up no hits.

Michael Cartwright ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just one inning, walked one, struck out none, and allowed one run.
