The Regina Red Sox (3-2) jumped out to an early lead on the Weyburn Beavers (3-4) and captured a 15-7 victory on Tuesday at Tom Laing Park.

Will Frei racked up five RBIs on three hits for the Regina Red Sox. He doubled in the third and eighth innings and singled in the ninth inning.

Colin Rintoul racked up three RBIs on two hits for the Weyburn Beavers. He singled in the first and sixth innings.

Even though Ben Schweinfurth allowed five runs over seven innings he still recorded the victory, his second of the season. Schweinfurth struck out none, walked none and gave up 11 hits.

Scott Doucet ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He allowed seven runs in 2 2/3 innings, walked two and struck out five.
