The Weyburn Beavers (3-3) and the Yorkton Cardinals (4-3) each put runners in scoring position on Saturday, but the Weyburn Beavers capitalized on more RBI opportunities, pulling out a 5-4 win at Tom Laing Park.

Connor Kalisky reached base three times. He scored one run and had two RBIs. He homered in the second inning.

Cole Feazell's eight strikeouts helped the Weyburn Beavers to the victory. Feazell allowed one earned run, three hits and two walks over six innings.

Cory Cantebury had two extra-base hits for the Yorkton Cardinals. He homered in the fourth inning and doubled in the eighth inning.

Richard England was charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just 2 2/3 innings, walked four, struck out four, and allowed five runs.
