The Regina Red Sox (2-1) and the Moose Jaw Miller Express (0-4) each put runners in scoring position on Friday, but the Regina Red Sox capitalized on more RBI opportunities, pulling out a 3-2 win at Ross Wells Park.

Jake Howard racked up two RBIs on one hit for the Regina Red Sox. He homered in the sixth inning.

Michael Garcia kept contact to a minimum, striking out seven the Moose Jaw Miller Express batters. Garcia allowed two earned runs on seven hits and two walks over seven innings.

The Regina Red Sox had no answer for Jesse Marks, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. The Regina Red Sox managed just two hits off of Marks, who allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out three during his three innings of work.

Kyle Sonntag (0-2) took the loss for the Moose Jaw Miller Express. He lasted just six innings, walked one, struck out four, and allowed three runs.
