Luke Wiechec kept the Melville Millionaires (2-3) off the board during his six innings of work and the Swift Current Indians (5-1) beat the Melville Millionaires, 1-0.

Wiechec allowed four hits, three walks and struck out four.

Kyle MacDonald was hot from the plate for the Swift Current Indians. MacDonald went 1-2, drove in one and scored one run. He homered in the fifth inning.

Despite the loss, the Melville Millionaires' Kris Brown dominated the Swift Current Indians' batters, giving up one run and striking out eight.

Brown ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year.
