Justin Johnston kept the Melville Millionaires (1-1) off the board during his six innings of work and the Yorkton Cardinals (1-1) beat the Melville Millionaires, 6-4.

Johnston allowed five hits, two walks and struck out three.

The Melville Millionaires were ahead early but they ultimately surrendered the lead for good. The Melville Millionaires led until the seventh inning, but the Yorkton Cardinals took the lead back on a two-run error.

Tyce ONeill couldn't get it done on the mound for the Melville Millionaires, taking a loss. He lasted just one-third of an inning, walked one, struck out none, and allowed four runs.
