The Midwest Haymakers (2-4) beat the Oregon Lumberjacks (2-4) 6-1 in seven innings on Thursday at Palm Springs Stadium behind Beau Riportella, who went 1-2.

Kawagashi Haruki had an impressive outing against the Oregon Lumberjacks' lineup. Haruki held the Oregon Lumberjacks hitless over two innings, allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out one.

Jashawn McDaniel got the win, running his season record to 2-0. He struck out one, walked one and surrendered one hit.

Scotty Ward was charged with his second loss of the year. He lasted just four innings, walked one, struck out two, and allowed two runs.
