Morioka helps the New York Colonials down the Toronto Rush 3-1

The New York Colonials (4-0) beat the Toronto Rush (2-3) 3-1 in seven innings on Monday at Palm Springs Turf Field behind Mason Morioka, who went 1-2.

He singled in the third inning.

Hector Cedano had an impressive outing against the Toronto Rush's lineup. Cedano gave up just two hits, allowed one earned run, walked three and struck out five during his five innings of work.

Max Schonfeld was effective even in defeat, mowing down five the New York Colonials batters and allowing one run.

Zach Sacoman improved to 2-0 on the year by picking up the win for the New York Colonials. He struck out four, walked none and surrendered two hits.

Alex Brosnan ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just two innings, walked two, struck out four, and allowed two runs.
