Gary Aho was cold coming off the bench, but Aho warmed up quickly as Aho stroked a key pinch-hit single in the six to lead the Bay Area Bootleggers (2-3) to a 3-2 win over the Coachella Valley Snowbirds (0-5) on Friday at Palm Springs Turf Field.
With the Bay Area Bootleggers trailing by two in the sixth inning, Aho came to the plate and singled.

The Bay Area Bootleggers couldn't get anything going so long as Tyler Garko was on the hill. Garko gave up just two hits, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out four during his two innings of work.
Aho improved to 1-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Bay Area Bootleggers. He struck out none, walked none and surrendered no hits.
Jordan Leanio ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just 2 2/3 innings, walked one, struck out two, and allowed three runs.
