The Gateway Grizzlies (16-20) continued to pile up the runs on Wednesday, scoring five runs in the last three innings, en route to an easy 16-3 win over the Normal CornBelters (15-20) at The Corn Crib.

A two-run double by Tyler Tewell and a two-run double by Blake Brown helped the Gateway Grizzlies score four runs in the ninth. The Gateway Grizzlies had three hits in the inning.

Brandon Thomas racked up three RBIs on three hits for the Gateway Grizzlies. He singled in the second and ninth innings.

Nolan Meadows reached base three times in the game for the Normal CornBelters. He scored two runs and had one RBI. He homered in the second inning and singled in the sixth inning.

Corey Kimes recorded his third win of the year for the Gateway Grizzlies. He allowed three runs over five innings. He struck out three, walked three and surrendered seven hits.

Nick Lomascolo (0-1) was the game's losing pitcher. He allowed eight runs in 1 2/3 innings, walked three and struck out one.
