Kenny Towns had two extra base hits, sparking the Schaumburg Boomers (17-17) to a 7-2 victory over the Lake Erie Crushers (16-16) on Tuesday at Schaumburg Baseball Stadium.

Steve Hagen was effective even in defeat, mowing down seven the Schaumburg Boomers batters and allowing three runs.
Bryan De La Rosa racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Lake Erie Crushers. He homered in the second inning and singled in the eighth inning.
