The Lafayette Aviators outdone by Meyer and the DuPage Drones, 5-4

Aaron Meyer went 3-3 at the plate as the DuPage Drones (32-20) took home a 5-4 victory over the Lafayette Aviators (26-29) at Loeb Stadium on Sunday.

He singled in the first, third, and fifth innings.

Joe Murray had a hot bat for the Lafayette Aviators. Murray went 3-5 and scored one run. He singled in the third and fifth innings and doubled in the seventh inning.

The DuPage Drones' lineup had no answer for Evan Warden. The DuPage Drones managed just two hits off of the the Lafayette Aviators' pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out one during his four innings of work.

Nicholas Benedetto got the win, running his season record to 3-3. Benedetto struck out none, walked one and gave up no hits.

Alex Naiser (1-3) took the loss for the Lafayette Aviators. He lasted just 4 2/3 innings, walked one, struck out one, and allowed five runs.
