A walk-off single from James Hill III brought home the winning run for the Terre Haute Rex (33-21) in a 5-4 victory over the Springfield Sliders (33-20) in 10 innings at Bob Warn Field on Sunday.

Hill III was hot from the plate for the Terre Haute Rex. Hill III went 3-5 and drove in one. He doubled in the seventh inning and singled in the fourth and tenth innings.

Jalbert Melo racked up two RBIs on one hit for the Terre Haute Rex. He singled in the eighth inning.

Michael Klein pitched seven innings and allowed one earned run, four hits and one walk while striking out two.

Donnie Ames recorded his fourth win of the year for the Terre Haute Rex. He struck out three, walked one and surrendered one hit.

Jake Roehn couldn't get it done on the rubber for the Springfield Sliders, taking a loss. He lasted just two innings, walked none, struck out four, and allowed three runs.
