The Springfield Sliders (33-19) pounded the Terre Haute Rex (32-21) on Saturday 11-3 at Bob Warn Field.

Jeffrey Barton ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his second loss of the year. He allowed six runs in five innings, walked two and struck out seven.
