An impressive effort by Jack Szott hoisted the Chillicothe Paints (23-30) to a 7-1 win over the Kokomo Jackrabbits (28-25) on Friday at VA Memorial Stadium.

Szott picked up the win for the Chillicothe Paints. Szott pitched nine innings and allowed one earned run, four hits and no walks while striking out six.

The Chillicothe Paints blew out the Kokomo Jackrabbits thanks to 11 hits, including zero extra base hits. The Chillicothe Paints scored three runs in the fifth on the Chillicothe Paints scored in the fifth on a two-run single by Jesse Forestell and a sacrifice fly by Korbin Williams.

The Chillicothe Paints were led by a flawless day at the dish by Forestell, who went 4-4 against the Kokomo Jackrabbits' pitching.

Ryan Hutchinson was hot from the plate for the Kokomo Jackrabbits. Hutchinson went 2-3 and scored one run. He singled in the second inning and doubled in the sixth inning.

Mike Anthony ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his fourth loss of the year. He allowed six runs in five innings, walked none and struck out five.
