Both the Champion City Kings (21-28) and the Terre Haute Rex (30-20) put runners aboard on Tuesday, but it was the Champion City Kings that were able to take advantage, pulling out a 6-2 win at Davidson Stadium.

Lee Sponseller led the Champion City Kings' offensive threat, as he got on base three times in the game. He scored one run and had one RBI. He doubled in the second inning and singled in the fifth inning.

Ben Hughes's six strikeouts helped the Champion City Kings to the victory. Hughes allowed two earned runs, six hits and one walk over seven innings.

Braxton Yeryar pitched lights out for the Terre Haute Rex. Yeryar held the Champion City Kings hitless over 1 2/3 innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out one.

Damian Helm ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his third loss of the year. He allowed six runs in four innings, walked three and struck out two.
