It took 10 innings, but the Champion City Kings (19-28) managed to put away the Lafayette Aviators (23-24) 3-2 on Friday at Loeb Stadium.

With the score tied at two in the tenth inning,, scoring Matt Fallon.

Matthew Furuto got on base three times in the game for the Champion City Kings. He scored one run and had one RBI. He homered in the first inning.

Austin Moreland brought the heat against the Lafayette Aviators during his outing. The Lafayette Aviators managed just one hit off of the the Champion City Kings' pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three during his two innings of work.

Jack Bergren pitched lights out for the Lafayette Aviators. The Champion City Kings managed just one hit off of Bergren, who allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out one during his 3 1/3 innings of work.

Alex Naiser was charged with his second loss of the year. He lasted just two-thirds of an inning, walked none, struck out none, and allowed no runs.
