Mitch Carriger collected three hits, sparking the Quincy Gems (21-26) to a 7-4 victory over the DuPage Drones (25-20) on Friday at Benedictine Sports Complex.

Jake Schieber was hot from the plate for the DuPage Drones. Schieber went 3-5 and scored two runs. He singled in the fourth and sixth innings and doubled in the ninth inning.

Colan Borchers got the win, running his season record to 3-2. He allowed two runs over five innings. He struck out three, walked four and surrendered seven hits.

Brent Mattson was charged with his second loss of the year. He lasted just two innings, walked two, struck out three, and allowed five runs.
