Five first-inning runs helped the Danville Dans (26-19) to a 10-6 win over the Chillicothe Paints (20-25) at Danville Stadium on Wednesday.

The Danville Dans scored in the first on an RBI single by Brett Rasso, , a sacrifice fly by Nicholas Garland, and a two-run single by Wright Hackett.

Joey Fiske racked up two RBIs on four hits for the Danville Dans. He singled in the first, second, third, and sixth innings.

Jamie Lackner racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Chillicothe Paints. He singled in the third and eighth innings.

Matt Vaka recorded his fourth win of the year for the Danville Dans. He allowed three runs over six innings. He struck out five, walked one and surrendered seven hits.

Michael Houdek (3-4) was the game's losing pitcher. He allowed eight runs in three innings, walked three and struck out two.
