An awesome effort by Nick Floyd led the Kokomo Jackrabbits (22-21) to a 4-0 win over the Quincy Gems (20-24) on Tuesday at Kokomo Municipal Stadium.

Floyd racked up nine strikeouts in the the Kokomo Jackrabbits win. The Kokomo Jackrabbits' pitcher gave up just three hits over seven shutout innings.

Ryan Hutchinson put himself in scoring position with two extra-base hits for the Kokomo Jackrabbits. He doubled in the second inning and tripled in the third inning.

Aaron Stone (2-3) took the loss for the Quincy Gems. He lasted just six innings, walked two, struck out four, and allowed two runs.
