Three first-inning runs helped the Terre Haute Rex (25-16) to a 4-1 win over the Lafayette Aviators (21-20) at Bob Warn Field on Friday.

The Terre Haute Rex scored in the first on an RBI single by James Hill III and a two-run home run by Andy De Jesus.

De Jesus racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Terre Haute Rex.

Jeffrey Barton picked up the win for the Terre Haute Rex. Barton pitched eight innings and allowed one earned run, six hits and two walks while striking out two.

Brian Page ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his third loss of the year. He lasted just six innings, walked one, struck out six, and allowed three runs.
