The Kokomo Jackrabbits (21-18) beat the Lafayette Aviators (21-19) 7-6 on Sunday at Loeb Stadium behind Logan Barnes, who had two extra base hits.

He doubled in the fifth inning, homered in the seventh inning, and singled in the third and ninth innings.

Nick Floyd pitched lights out for the Kokomo Jackrabbits. The Lafayette Aviators managed just three hits off of Floyd, who allowed one earned run, walked three and struck out five during his six innings of work.

John Valente did his best to jumpstart the offense for the Lafayette Aviators, reaching base three times. He singled in the fifth and seventh innings.

Steven Skolarz ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his third loss of the year. He lasted just four innings, walked two, struck out none, and allowed four runs.

The Kokomo Jackrabbits were sparked by Cole Nieto and Barnes, who teamed up for five hits and two RBIs.
