Mason Irby had two extra base hits, helping the Danville Dans (21-18) to a 5-2 victory over the Quincy Gems (19-21) on Saturday at Danville Stadium.

Brian Allec picked up the win for the Danville Dans. Allec allowed two earned runs, four hits and one walk while striking out five over 6 2/3 innings of work.

Alex Ruxlow had an impressive outing against the Danville Dans' lineup. Ruxlow gave up just one hit, allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out one during his three innings of work.

Colan Borchers (2-2) took the loss for the Quincy Gems. He lasted just five innings, walked one, struck out two, and allowed five runs.
