Aaron Bence went 2-4 and hit a home run, sparking the Lafayette Aviators (19-16) to a 6-3 victory in seven innings over the Terre Haute Rex (19-16) on Monday at Loeb Stadium.

Peter Ripke had an impressive outing against the Terre Haute Rex's lineup. The Terre Haute Rex managed just one hit off of the the Lafayette Aviators' pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out three during his four innings of work.

Jason Sterrett improved to 4-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Lafayette Aviators. He allowed two runs over one inning. He struck out none, walked two and surrendered one hit.

Triston Polley couldn't get it done on the mound for the Terre Haute Rex, taking a loss. He lasted just three innings, walked three, struck out one, and allowed four runs.
