Ryan Hutchinson knocked in three runs, helping the Kokomo Jackrabbits (16-15) to an 8-7 victory over the Lafayette Aviators (17-14) on Thursday at Loeb Stadium.
He homered in the third inning and singled in the fifth and seventh innings.Quentin Miller pitched lights out for the Kokomo Jackrabbits. Miller held the Lafayette Aviators hitless over 1 1/3 innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out two.
Bryce Evans racked up three RBIs on three hits for the Lafayette Aviators. He doubled in the fourth inning and singled in the fifth and ninth innings.
Kellan Elsbury (1-1) took the loss for the Lafayette Aviators. He lasted just two innings, walked one, struck out none, and allowed three runs.
